Cardinal FG’s print logo was made to look as made up with pieces of glass. For the 3D animated version of their logo, we wanted to keep the same glass feel in the model. The print logo was rotoscoped (traced) in 3D space, where our animator was then able to create a 3-dimesional object from the rotoscope. The final animation was rendered with an alpha-channel, which allows our editor to place the animated logo over live-action video as well as use the logo as a full screen graphic.

St. Croix EMS’s print logo includes elements from the surrounding area of their district. For the 3D animated version of their logo, they wanted to see some motion within the logo design. Our animator gave life to their logo by taking the elements of the design and building them in 3D space as individual objects and then flew the 3D camera through the logo. The print logo was rotoscoped (traced) in 3D space, where our animator was then able to create a 3-dimesional object from the rotoscope. The final animation was rendered with an alpha-channel, which allows our editor to place the animated logo over live-action video as well as use the logo as a full screen graphic.

This character is simply known as “the clown” he tends to get into a lot of trouble concerning the shiny yellow ball that he is always chasing after. The animation is a single continuous action animated over 300 frames (10 seconds.) The ball and clown are stock models, as well as their textures. Our animator changed the skeleton heirarchy within the clown model to allow for the model to have more moveability than the original model allowed. All other models and textures (image maps) were created by our animator.
